The number one killer in Ireland is Sudden Cardiac Death Syndrome,
killing more than 16,000 people a year. Unfortunately, the common
belief is that it only strikes the elderly, overweight, and infirm. It
can strike anyone, anywhere, at any time and in most cases without
warning. Now there is something you can do to improve the
survivability of sudden cardiac arrest in Ireland with a solution that
is both easy to use and extremely affordable.
In fact, sudden cardiac arrest is truly a public health crisis. Unlike
other health problems of this magnitude it is treatable. The cure for
most cases of sudden cardiac arrest is immediate treatment with a
defibrillator.
Time to defibrillation is the most critical factor in survival of
sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). If an AED is "on-site" within two minutes
there is an 80% chance that the victim will survive. This is one of
the reasons that survival rates improve in areas with active AED
programmes. Remember, every minute that passes before defibrillation
the survival rate reduces by 7-10 percent. Currently in Ireland the
survivability rate for out of hospital cardiac arrest is 1%.
For first response professionals like police, fire and the
ambulance service the AED is standard equipment. For schools, offices, stores, factories, gyms, public places
and community groups, it's becoming as vital as the fire extinguisher.
Free Service Checks -- every two years we
provide a service check where the AED is installed and do a full
update if required this includes any software or protocols changes on the unit to assure you that your AED is ready to perform a rescue.
Warranty -- the Defibtech Lifeline AED has a full five-year warranty from date of purchase. In the unlikely event that the unit requires maintenance we will collect the unit and install a new replacement within one working day while the unit is serviced.
Medical Overview --
We can provide you with AED policies for your workplace or community
group also after you use the AED unit, if you require we will provide you with a free medical audit as recorded by the unit.
Review Software -- The AED records 15 minutes of
medical data internally, which can be accessed with the aid of our free software. An optional data card can be added to record both extended amounts of ECG data and audio
for a full event review.
Next Business Day Delivery -- We
provide a next business day delivery with all our products. We use
Couriers to provide the best and fastest service possible for our clients.
Free Approved Irish Heart Foundation
Training -- Safety Ireland is an approved training site by the
Irish Heart Foundation and to promote training we offer a free
Heartsaver AED training course for up to six people at our training
centre in Blanchardstown with the purchase of each Defibtech
defibrillator.
